Ivan Lugo-Olivera, 39, Carpenter

Ivan Lugo-Olivera, 39, of Lorain, died Sunday, December 8, 2002 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born April 17, 1963 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he came to Lorain 14 years ago.

He was a self-employed carpenter, and enjoyed music, playing the trumpet and percussion instruments.

Surviving is his wife of 22 years, Ana M. (nee Olivencia), sons, Ivan Lugo, of Lorain, Jonathan Lugo, of Lorain and Jose Lugo all of Lorain, a daughter, Jessica Lugo of Lorain, 1 granddaughter, his mother, Ester Olivera, of Waterbury, CT, brothers, Samuel Lugo, and Gerald Lugo, both of Waterbury CT and sisters, Irma Urpiano and Betsy Lugo both of Ponce, Puerto Rico.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Lugo, and a brother, Manuel Lugo.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 11th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. in Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, 3660 Globe Avenue, Lorain where predicacion will be at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 12th at 11:00 a.m. in Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, with Rev. Jose L. Olivera, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
