Jack Robishaw, 79, U.S. Navy Veteran
Jack Robishaw, 79, of Vermilion, died Thursday, December 5, 2002, at his home in Vermilion.He was born August 1, 1923 in Lancs, England. He has been a Vermilion resident since 1996, and had lived in North Ridgeville, Lakewood and England.
He worked in machine repair for the Ford Automotive plant in Brookpark, Ohio for 26 years, retiring in 1982. He served in the British Navy during WWII. He also served in the Merchant Marines of England after the war.
He enjoyed politics, golf and watching football on television.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean (nee Crammond) Robishaw; 2 daughters, Lesley Allison Tett and Julie Dawn Robishaw both of Yorkshire, England; 2 grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Oakden of Lancs, England.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Mary (nee Moran) Robishaw.
There will be no services.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion.
