Francisco D. Ramos, age 81, of Lorain, died on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain, following a short illness.He was born October 4, 1921 in Junco, Puerto Rico. He lived in Lorain since 1948.
He was employed for 35 years at US Steel, retiring in 1992.
Francisco was a member of the United SteelWorkers Union Local 1104. He enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years: Milagros (nee Rivera), sons: Josiah, Harvey and Omar, all of Lorain and Sauro Madera, daughters: Tula Romos and Kathy Madera, both of Lorain, 7 grandchildren, brothers: Jose Ramos, of Orlando, FL, sisters: Luz Maria Ramos, Isabel Ramos, both of Orlando, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ramos and Tula (nee DeLeon) Ramos, 4 brothers and a sister.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29, 2002 from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Iglesia De Dios, M.B. Casa De Refugio, 2543 Broadway, Avenus, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Efrain Senquez, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The Dovin Funeral, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain is handling the arrangements.
