Margaret E. Vander Maelen, 87, Member of St. Mary Catholic Church, enjoyed bingo

She was born September 5, 1915 in Newton, New Hampshire and has been a Vermilion resident since 1961 moving from Medford, Mass.
Mrs. Vander Maelen worked at May Company in Sheffield Village, and Fisher Big Wheel, Vermilion. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion where she was a member of the Alter Rosary society. She had previously enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include; her husband Peter Vander Maelen of Vermilion, 2 Daughters; Ellen Vander Maelen of Berlin Hts., OH and Ann Mogar of Lowell, MI, 2 Sons; Caniel Vander Maelen of Clinton, CT, and Leo Vander Maelen of Vermilion, OH, and 4 grandchildren; Elizabeth and Thomas Vander Maelen, John Jr. and Sara Mogar.
Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Nellie (nee Nolan) Green, and 1 brother Lewis Green
The family will receive friends on Tuesday Nov. 26, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio, a Christian Wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Wednesday Nov. 27, 2002 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St. Vermilion. The Reverend Steven Blum, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
