Alexa "Mack" Miecznikowski, 77, Registered Nurse
Alexa "Mack" Miecznikowski (nee Wurm)- 77 of Avon Lake, passed away Friday November 22, at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain. Mrs. Miecznikowski was born, May 26, 1925 in Cleveland and has lived in Avon Lake since 1956. She had worked as a registered nurse, employed for most of her career by Bay View and St. John West Shore Hospitals.Mrs. Miecznikowski is survived by sons Edward Mack, Timothy (Loreen), Daniel and Terrence and Daughter Susan Bobola (Kenneth). Other survivors include grandchildren Scott (Michelle) and Jennifer Miecznikowski, and Kelly, Matthew, and Michael Bobola; great-grandchildren Jessica Light and Lance Miecznikowski. He is also survived by a sister Marilyn Dubay (Michael), brother Thomas Wurm (Joan) and brother-in-law Henry Simmons. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward, sister Lenore Simmons and parents, Francis and Mary (nee Wilson) Wurm.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday and 5:00-9:00 p.m. Monday.
Prayer service at the funeral home, Tuesday, November 26, at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, 32929 Lake Rd., Avon Lake at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Timothy J. O'Connor of the Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Garden. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of St. Joseph Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
