Michael F. Koury, 77, Real Estate Broker
Michael F. Koury, 77, of Lorain, died Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at his home following a 3 year illness.He was born April 21, 1925 in Lorain where he resided his entire life. He was a self employed Real Estate Broker for over 20 years, and enjoyed working from his home even during his illness.
He was a graduate of Lorain High School Class of 1943.
Mr. Koury was a veteran of the U.S. Army 8th Air Force serving during WWII. He was a sergeant in the 93rd Bombardment Group serving in Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. Medals include the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, American Theatre Service Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.
He was a member of the St. George Orthodox Church in Starkweather, Ohio and the V.F.W. of the U.S. Mullen-Murray Post 451 Lorain.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Maxine E. (nee Farah), daughters, Maxine R. Koury of Lorain, Laurice Koury-Goldberg of Bainbridge, Ohio, sister, Joan Haddad of Parma, and brother E.G. (Leo) Koury of Westlake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary (Hanna) Koury.
There will be no visitation.
Burial will be private in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, Ohio.
