Scott W. Poprock, 44, Enjoyed Watching Action Movies
Scott W. Poprock, age 44, of Lorain, died Monday, November 18, 2002 in the emergency room of Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, West, after being stricken at his home.He was born October 8, 1958 in Lorain and had been a life-long resident of the city. Scott was a 1977 graduate of Lorain High School.
A parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, he was a twenty-two year employee of the City of Lorain where he had served in both the street and water departments.
His hobbies include watching action movies, Cleveland Indians baseball, and basketball.
Survivors include his parents: William W. and Helen A. (nee Bangas) Poprock of Lorain, brother: Mark L. Poprock of Lakewood, sisters: Krista Jarvis of Simpsonville, SC, and Lisa Pyles of Sheffield Lake, two nephews and three nieces.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 20th from 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 21st, at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 East Erie Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Joseph West, O.F.M. Conv., pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
The family suggests memorials in Scott's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
