Eloina G. Rivera, 80, Enjyed Sewing & Embroidering

She was born on February 21, 1922 in Utuado, Puerto Rico. She had moved to Lorain 45 years ago, then moving to Sheffield Lake in 1989 and back to Lorain 8 months ago.

She was an active member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain and the Legion of Mary Auxiliary.

She enjoyed sewing, embroidering and gardening.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Hector of Avon, Jose "Pepe" of Sheffield Lake, and Albert of Lorain, 6 daughters, Widia Gonzalez of Lorain, Nilsa Orama, of Brandon, FL, Miriam Covert of Elyria, Carmen Rivera of Columbus, Ohio, Wilfrida Diaz of Fontana, CA and Doris N. Rivera, of Elyria, 24 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, sisters: Ana Cilia, of Long Island, NY and Carmen Rios of Utuado, Puerto Rico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Obdulio in 1966, parents: Zoilo and Maria (nee Santiago) Rios, sons: William and Nelson, daughter, Nydia and brother, Eresto Rios.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 15, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Friends may also call on Saturday, November 16, 2002 from 12:30 p.m. until time of mass at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Manuel Cordova, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
