Donald Lee Ward, 74, of Berlin Heights, died Thursday, November 14, 2002 at his winter residence in Bushnell, FL.He was born December 7, 1927 in Lost Creek, WV.
He was an inspector at Ford Motor Company for 15 years and a paint sprayer for 15 years retiring in 1990.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Ginny (nee Mills) Ward to whom he was married 53 years, 5 sons: Donald Ward Jr., of Berlin Heights, Paul Ward of Berlin Heights, Delbert Ward of Wakeman, Gary Ward of Willoughby, OH, Jay Ward of Berlin Heights, 6 brothers: Ralph Ward of Glen Falls, WV, Delbert Ward of Mt. Clare, WV, Charles Ward of Aiken, SC, David Ward of Vermilion, Larry Ward of Elyria and Joe Ward of Lost Creek, WV and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard, 1 sister, and 2 brothers and his parents John David and LaVerne (nee Case) Ward.
Friends may call Sunday, November 17, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be Monday at 1p.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend Guy Morton, pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
