Nelson Chesler, 75, Enjoyed Yardwork

He was born July 2, 1927 in Elyria where he graduated from high school in 1945 and also served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed in janitorial maintenance for Ford Motor Company at the Avon Lake plant retiring ten years ago. He enjoyed doing yardwork.

Mr. Chesler is survived by a son, Nelson M. Chesler of Severna Park, Maryland and a daughter, Mary Gresco (Allen) of Medina; two sisters, Lillian Mahoney of Cleveland and Gertrude Lee of Cape Coral, Florida and three brothers, Fred of Yuko, Oklahoma; Dave of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Earl of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary (nee Freed) Chesler.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel 32000 Detroit Road, Avon from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Services will be held at the funeral home, Monday, October 7th at 1:00 p.m. Rev. John Butchko, pastor of Avon United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
