Edward J. Conrady, 74, Enjoyed Target Shooting

He was born November 24, 1927 in Bay Village and had resided in Lorain most of his life.
Mr. Conrady served with the US Navy during World War II.
He worked as a stationary engineer for Sears for 17 years retiring in 1989. Prior to that he worked for the Lorain City Utilities Department. He also worked as a marine engineer for the Cleveland Cliffs on the Great Lakes.
Mr. Conrady was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Lorain Rifle and Pistol Club. He enjoyed target shooting.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathryn "Kitty" Conrady (nee Joscelyn); daughters, Joyce Martincak and Lora Conrady, both of Lorain; son, Eugene Conrady of Louisville, Kentucky, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edith (nee Kruger) Conrady, grandson, Kenneth Martincak, brothers Eugene Conrady and John Conrady and sister Gloria Conrady.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Adoration Chapel at Resthaven Memory Garden Cemetery, 3700 Center Road, Avon. The Rev. Jimmy Madsen, Co-Pastor of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain.
