Olive M. Smith, Member of St. Joseph Church

Mrs. Smith was born in Lorain and had lived in Lakewood, North Ridgeville, Elyria and Avon Lake.

Mrs. Smith was employed by the Federal Government, Department of Agriculture, Marketing Department, retiring in 1960. A member of St. Joseph Church, Avon Lake and the church's Ladies Guild, she is a former member of St. Mary Church, Elyria and St. Peter Church, North Ridgeville. She was a member of Golden Acres Home Auxiliary; American Association of Retired Persons, Chapter #2843, Lorain Company; The Senior Citizens Association of Lorain County and the 55 Plus Club of Sheffield Lake.

Survivors include two stepsons, James E. Smith of Vermilion, and John R. Smith of Elizabethtown, PA, 6 grandchildren, 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Smith in 1973, three sisters and 4 brothers.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake, Friday, September 27th from 4 to 7 p.m. All services will be held at St. Joseph Church, 32929 Lake Road, Avon Lake, Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Fr. Timothy J. O'Connor of the Church will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
