Rosalie Kathleen Sofo, 86, Technician in Orthopedics

She was born August 28, 1916 in Lorain and resided in California for 41 years.
Mrs. Sofo worked for 15 years as a Technician in Orthopedics, retiring in 1981. While living in Lorain, she was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter and was a member of St. Katherine Church in Morgan Hills. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cooking, baking especially Italian cookies, gardening and canning.
Survivors include her son, Frank Sofo of Sunnyvale, California, daughters, Antoinette (Toni) M. Foggiato of Morgan Hill, California, Emilie Highley and Marie Hamilton of San Jose, California, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband Anthony Sofo in 1953, parents Paul and Emilia (Fus) Siladi, sisters, Mary Ann Vinton, Catherine Kowalski and brother, Michael Siladi.
Friends may call Thursday, September 19, 2002 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain with Rev. G. Michael Williamson, associate pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio.
