Edward J. Kuhn, 69, Enjoyed Golfing, Bowling, Boating
Edward J. Kuhn, 69, of Lorain, died Wednesday, September 11th at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria following a short illness.Born October 21, 1932 in Lorain, he has lived here his entire life. He graduated from Lorain High School in 1950 and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
He worked for Lorain Works US Steel for 26 years, retiring in 1982. Following that, he worked for the Lorain County Domestic Relations Court for 10 years.
He was a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Lorain, the former Holy Name Society of the parish, and the Amvets Post 22 of Vermilion.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling, boating, woodworking and working with stained glass.
Surviving is his son, Martin Kuhn, of San Diego, CA, 2 daughters, Elizabeth Spelce, of San Diego, CA and Teresa Smith of Gibsonia, PA, 4 grandchildren, sisters, Mrs. Marge Bulzomi, and Mrs. Betty Yacobozzi, both of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Kuhn, in 1972, parents, Louis Sr., in 1986, and Elizabeth (nee Karney), in 1989, brother, Louis S. in 1998.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 15th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday, September 16th at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Patrick Shields will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military honors.
