Bessie Mae Shaw, 95, Enjoyed baking and the Great Lakes
Bessie Mae Shaw (nee Nuhn), 95, of Vermilion, died Saturday, September 7, 2002 at Kingston of Vermilion after a 3 year illness.Born in Vermilion November 25, 1906, she was a life long resident.
She was a legal secretary in Cleveland and then worked for Harold Stutz and Williams and Williams Attorneys in Vermilion retiring in 1968.
She was a graduate of Vermilion High School in 1926 and Oberlin Business School. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational, Vermilion, where she was active in Marmaru. She enjoyed baking and was interested in the Great Lakes.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Kay Williams, Vermilion; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Shaw Williams, Karen Louise Rossi, Sarah Jane Parker and Saber Rathbun Williams. Other survivors included 6 great grandchildren, Ellen, Annabelle and Margaret Rossi, Gabrielle and Ryan Parker, and Jack Williams. Grand daughter-in-law, Cindy Williams, grandson-in-law, Fred Rossi and Mark Parker; 3 nephews, Robert Darby, Gene Darby and Gale Darby.
She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married in 1932, Roy Shaw in 1971, her parents Charles and Mabel (nee Newbury) Nuhn, and one sister Gladys Marie Darby.

Services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion.
