Jeannette A. Maleski, 88, Enjoyed traveling and gospel music
Jeannette A. Maleski (nee Sisley), 88 years of age, and a resident of Elyria, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2002 at her home following a lengthy illness.She was born September 4, 1913 in Girard, Pennsylvania where she was raised and graduated from high school. She has been an Elyria resident for the past forty-three years.
A former employee of Tapco, Corp. in Cleveland, she retired from Elyria Manufacturing in 1980. A member of Abbe Road Baptist Church in Elyria, Mrs. Maleski enjoyed traveling and gospel music.
Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Joseph W. Maleski: Sons Paul Zimmerman of San Diego, California; Franklin Zimmerman of Arlington, Texas; and Gene Zimmerman of Elyria; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and Sister, Lillian Finkerbiner of Dallas, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Sadie (nee Duval) Sisley; by her brother Mendel Sisley; and by her sister Ruth Johnson.
Friends may call Monday from 10:00 a.m. to the time of services at 11:00 a.m. at the Hemple Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. The Rev. David Dunklin, Pastor Emeritus of Abbe Road Baptist Church, Elyria, will officiate. Burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery, Brownhelm Township.
