Margaret S. Greathouse, 88, Enjoyed singing, playing the piano, crafts and knitting
Margaret S. Greathouse (nee Jeffers), 88, of Bath, OH formerly of Sheffield Lake, passed away, Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at the Northridge Health Center following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Greathouse was born, March 25, 1913 in Terra Alta, West Virginia and came to Ohio in 1951, settling in Sheffield Lake in 1959. She was a homemaker and member of Broadway Assembly Church. Mrs. Greathouse enjoyed singing, playing the piano, crafts and knitting.Her husband, Dale G., whom she married June 11, 1933, passed away, June 14, 2001. She is survived by two sons Harold of Apopka, FL and Terry of Bath, OH and a daughter Carolyn Brown of Avon Lake. Other survivors include 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and three sisters, Anna Lee Helms of Parsons WV, Ruth M. Duley of Lorain and Olga Mae McCullough of Sheffield Lake. Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph W. and Vernie V. (nee Smith) Jeffers, a brother, five sisters and a grandson.
Friends may call at the BUSCH-BURMEISTER FAMILY CHAPEL, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday, August 16. All service will be Saturday, in Broadway Assembly Church, 5495 Broadway, Lorain at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Mark Lance of the church will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon.
