Betty Jean Chinn, 74, Past President of VFW #8386 Auxiliary

Betty Jean Chinn, (nee Bronson), age 74, of Elyria and formerly of Sheffield Lake died on Saturday August 10, 2002 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, following a long illness. She was born July 30, 1928 in Attleboro, Mass.

She was a member and past president of the V.F.W #8386 Auxiliary in Sheffield Lake.

Survivors include her sons Thomas E. Charlton and Kenneth R. Charlton both of Elyria and Dennis C. Charlton of Vermilion. Other survivors include daughter Kathi Ann Bowen of Scottown, Ohio and several grand and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death are her husband Lawrence Chinn and parents Charles and Elizabeth Bronson.

Friends may call at the Reidy-Scanlan-Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain on Monday from 5 p.m. until the time of services at 7 p.m. with the Rev. B. J. Rowan, officiating.

Private family burial will be at Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon.
