Caritina Cotto-Benitez, 85, enjoyed bingo, gardening, and reading
Caritina Cotto-Benitez, 85, of Lorain, died Tuesday, August 6, 2002 in the Emergency Room at Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain following a sudden illness.Born October 10, 1916 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, she moved to Lorain in 1952.
Caritina was a homemaker who enjoyed bingo, gardening, and reading.
She is survived by her son, Victor Cotto, and sister, Lydia Sayan; of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Ramon in 1978.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8 in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain from 6-8 p.m. where services will be held on Friday, August 9 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mr. Tomas Badillo, Deacon of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
