Evelyn L. Buttle, 87, Bookkeeper

Born March 23, 1915, she resided in the area for the past 18 years.

She worked as a bookkeeper for the company she and her first husband owned, Stevenson Transfer & Storage Company. After his death, she was a bookkeeper for C.A. Olsen Company in Elyria (now Westinghouse).

She was a daughter of American Colonists. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed playing bridge, reading and working crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her second husband of 18 years, Robert Buttle. Son, Dale Stevenson of University Place, WA, 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, step-sons, Jim Buttle of Westlake, OH, Edward Buttle of Ft. Lauderdale FL, Donald Buttle of Geneva, IL, Chuck Buttle of Brunswick, OH, step-daughters, Nancy Reed of Wooster, OH, 6 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great grandchildren, sister, Lenore Hawkins of Longboat Key, FL.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth B. Stevenson in 1962 and parents Sidney and Altna (Barker) Lee.

Private services will be held.
