Jack Lee Music, 71, Enjoyed fishing and boating

Jack Lee Music age 71, of Amherst, died Thursday, July 25, 2002 in EMH Regional Health Center following a brief illness.

He was born June 24, 1931 in Pikeville, Kentucky, lived in Elyria for 40 years and has lived in Elyria for 40 years and has been an Amherst resident for 3 years.

He was veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was an Ironworker for 35 years in Lorain and Cuyahoga counties, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 17 Union, VFW Post 1662, Amherst, American Legion, and the Amherst Eagles.

He enjoyed fishing and boating.

Survivors include his son Dale Music of Amherst, daughter Linda Roof of Orlando, Florida, 4 grandchildren and sister Ruth Thacker of Jonesville, Virginia.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Cecil and Bertha (Justine) Music, wife Shirley in 1999 and brother Carles and Robert.

Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio with the Rev. Robert Dybo, officiating. Burial will be at noon in Crown Hill Cemetery Amherst, Ohio. The VFW Post 1662 will conduct military honors.
