Joseph Michael Bandille, 50, Accomplished Actor
Joseph Michael Bandille, 50 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Monday, July 15, 2002 at Amherst Hospital ER following a sudden illness.He was born September 23, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York where he was raised and lived until moving to California for 15 years. He has been a resident of Amherst since 1991.
He was employed as a Senior Lead Programmer for the Great Lake Data Center, Lorain for 15 years. He was a graduate of St. John's University in New York. Joe was an accomplished actor within the community. His acting began in college and continued into dinner theater performances in Indiana. After moving to Ohio, he performed in plays staged at the Beck Center in Lakewood. Some of the plays he performed in are "Amedeus," "The Diviners," "The Lion in Winter," "The Crucible," "Laughter on the 23rd Floor," "The Odd Couple," "Inherit the Wind," "Arsenic and Old Lace," "The Trials of the Proctor Family," "Noises Off," "Sylvia," "Fahrenheit 451," "Moon Over Buffalo," "Born Yesterday," "A Few Good Men," "To Kill A Mockingbird," "Run for Your Wife," "Ride Down Mt. Morgan," & "Proposals." In addition, he performed murder mysteries at various locations and received the Best Actor award last years in the Amherst Workshop Players. His idol of all times was John Lennon, from the Beatles, who inspired Joe to write music and poetry.
Survivors include his wife of eight years, Christine H. Favre: his daughter, Nicole and Autumn, both at home: his brother Vincent Bandille; and his sister Margaret Geraci and Sister Marianne Bandille, all of New York.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Molly (nee Ruggiero) Bandille.
