July 15, 2020 — Dave Hille labored for for 3 summers in college. Now he has been the sole owner of the company since July 2019. It is his second career: his first being a physics teacher at Lakewood High School.

School is roughly 8 hours a day, and Hille works another 4-6 hours a day afterwards running the operations behind NewCastle.

"It is a lot easier to do this job when you're not doing the repairing and remodeling," Hille jokes. "I continue to trust my staff as we have great guys who do all the hard work."

Oddly enough, Hille sees both being a physics teacher and roofing to be very similar in some regards.

"With teaching, it's building relationships with kids in senior level physics, and helping them get ready for college. Most students won't be physics majors or take another class in college, so my job is to make them problem solvers."

"With roofing, it's about educating homeowners on the best solutions for their home, as well as communicating and problem solving with them," Hille continued.

Currently, their business is 75% roofing, but they also handle gutters, siding, windows, interior and exterior painting, and numerous other home services.
